About this site

KhanPikeHome is a personal homelab operated by Will Pike for the use of his immediate household. It is not a commercial product or service. The pages under khanpikehome.com and www.khanpikehome.com exist primarily to identify the operator and satisfy ownership-verification requirements for the third-party platforms (such as Google OAuth) that the homelab integrates with.

No public service

Most services running on subdomains of khanpikehome.com are private and require credentials that are not issued to the public. No general-purpose user registration is offered, and any attempt to access protected resources without authorization is prohibited.

SMS / messaging terms & conditions

KhanPikeHome runs a private SMS notification program ("the Program") that delivers operational and account notifications from the homelab — such as service outages, failed backups, monitoring alerts, and power or security events — to the operator and household members who have opted in.

• Program description: transactional alert notifications about the state of privately hosted infrastructure. The Program is never used for marketing or promotion.
• Opt-in: recipients join by giving their mobile number directly to the operator and agreeing, in person, to receive alerts. There is no public sign-up form and no numbers are collected from visitors to this site.
• Message frequency: varies. Messages are triggered by system events, so there is no fixed number of messages per day, week, or month.
• Cost: KhanPikeHome does not charge for the Program, but message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-out: reply STOP to any message at any time to stop all further messages. A one-time confirmation is sent, after which no more messages are delivered unless you re-subscribe by replying START.
• Help: reply HELP for assistance, or email [email protected].
• Carriers: mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Privacy: mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable use

Visitors to the public pages must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any service, account, or system.
• Probe, scan, or stress-test the infrastructure beyond ordinary browsing.
• Use the site to transmit malware, spam, or otherwise harmful content.
• Misrepresent affiliation with the operator or the household.

No warranty

The site is provided on an "as is" basis with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. The operator may modify, suspend, or take down any part of the homelab at any time without notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims liability for any damages arising from access to or use of this site.

Privacy

Treatment of any data collected or processed by the homelab is described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the homelab evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
